We Know Names is developed and published by Starlit Journeys, operated by ENK Samuelsens Design (Kristoffer Samuelsen). This Privacy Policy explains how information may be handled in connection with the app and related support channels.

This policy applies to We Know Names and our direct handling of information connected to the app. It also explains, at a high level, how third-party platform services may be involved. Third-party services such as Apple Game Center and Google AdMob operate under their own terms and privacy policies and may act as independent controllers for their own processing.
3. Our approach to data
We Know Names is a word-based game. We do not operate a traditional user account system and we do not intentionally collect personal data for profiling, resale, or general marketing purposes.
However, third-party services integrated in the app, such as Google AdMob and Apple Game Center, may process data as described in this policy and in their own privacy documentation.
We may only receive personal information directly from you if you contact us, for example by email for support, feedback, or reporting an advertisement.

We may handle limited information that is necessary to operate the app, respond to support requests, maintain security, or comply with legal obligations.

• basic technical or diagnostic information needed for stability, troubleshooting, fraud prevention, or security

• gameplay-related events necessary to provide app features, where those features are processed through Apple Game Center or other service providers

The app uses or may use third-party services, including:
• Apple Game Center, for leaderboards, achievements, and multiplayer-related functionality
• Google AdMob, for advertisement delivery, ad measurement, consent-related advertising controls, fraud prevention, and related technical operations
• Google User Messaging Platform or similar privacy-choice tools, to manage advertising consent and privacy choices where required
These third parties may process technical and service-related information such as device information, IP address, device or advertising identifiers, approximate location derived from IP address, ad delivery data, ad interaction data, diagnostic data, crash logs, performance data, consent choices, and gameplay-related identifiers or records needed for their services.
We do not control the privacy practices of Apple, Google, or other third-party providers beyond our own integration choices. Their processing is subject to their own terms, privacy policies, and platform controls.
6. How information may be used
Information may be used to:
• operate and secure the app
• enable gameplay features, Game Center functionality, and online play where available
• display advertisements to non-Premium users
• measure ad delivery and performance where applicable
• store and respect privacy or consent choices where applicable
• answer support emails, feedback, advertisement reports, and user requests
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights
7. Legal bases
Where applicable, our processing is based on one or more of the following: performance of a contract, legitimate interests such as operating and securing the app, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where consent is required.

We do not sell personal data.
We may share or make information available only where reasonably necessary to operate the app or meet legal requirements, including with Apple, Google, hosting or technical service providers, and competent authorities where required by law or needed to protect rights, safety, or security.
9. Advertising and privacy choices
The free version of We Know Names may display advertisements through Google AdMob. Premium removes ads from the app.
Depending on your region, law, platform settings, and app configuration, you may be shown privacy or consent choices for advertising. Where such controls are available in the app, you can review, update, or withdraw relevant choices from the app settings or a privacy choices menu.
Changing privacy choices may affect how ad-related data is processed and how ads are presented, but it may not remove ads from the app entirely. Premium removes ads from the app.
If you see an inappropriate or age-inappropriate advertisement in the app, you may report it through the app settings or contact support@starlitjourneys.com. Please include a screenshot, the time it appeared, and a short description if possible.
10. Data retention
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including support, security, legal compliance, and dispute resolution.
Information processed by Apple, Google, or other third-party services is subject to those providers' own retention practices.
11. International transfers
Information may be processed in countries other than your own if this is necessary for platform services, infrastructure, support, or legal compliance. Where required, reasonable safeguards are used for such transfers.
12. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent where consent is the legal basis.

We do not knowingly request personal data from children through our own support channels or app features beyond what is necessary to operate the service.
